The 5th Annual Impact Reception
On April 22, Philadelphia’s life sciences community filled The College of Physicians for a night of connection, generosity, and shared commitment to disrupting poverty in our region. Together, this room showed what happens when an industry invests in the people building Philadelphia’s future.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, gave, sponsored, volunteered, raised a hand, made an introduction, and helped turn one night into year-round impact.
A room full of people ready to move Philadelphia forward
The 2026 Impact Reception brought together leaders across biotech, pharma, health care, academia, investing, real estate, professional services, and the broader life sciences ecosystem. It was a celebration, but it was also a clear reminder of what this community can do when it chooses to show up together.
Throughout the night, guests heard directly from the people and partners connected to Life Science Cares’ work across our three pillars: Basic Needs, Education, and Opportunity. The evening centered on the belief that when we invest in stability, access, mentorship, and opportunity, we help more people participate in the future Philadelphia is building.
What the night made visible
- Philadelphia’s life sciences community is ready to lead beyond the lab.
- Corporate partnership can be more than sponsorship. It can become grants, volunteerism, student access, and deeper nonprofit support.
- Stories move people to action. Nyree’s remarks helped remind the room exactly why this work matters.
- Generosity is contagious. The Impact Lab exceeded its goal and raised $75,000 through live beaker-filling support.
The beakers filled. The room answered.
This year’s Life Science Cares Impact Lab turned giving into something guests could see building in real time. Every contribution added to the beakers, and by the end of the night, the room had helped raise $75,000.
Powered by Jazz Pharmaceuticals, the lab became one of the clearest symbols of the evening: many people, many gifts, one shared commitment to helping disrupt poverty in Philadelphia.
THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS
The Impact Reception was made possible by partners who believe Philadelphia’s life sciences community can help end poverty in our region.
