We are thrilled to announce that Sarah MacDonald has been appointed to serve as Life Science Cares, Inc.’s new CEO. Sarah was Employee #1 at LSC, building the organization’s model of community investment and engagement for the past seven years as Executive Director of Life Science Cares Boston.

As the organization has grown, Sarah has taken on driving the alignment, efficiency and effectiveness of LSC network of five affiliates (Boston, New York, Philadelphia, San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area) as well as building a national platform for connecting the life sciences industry and the people in it to community-based efforts to disrupt poverty & inequality.

Sarah is a veteran organization and network builder. Before joining LSC, Sarah served as Executive Vice President at MassBio, the industry trade association, leading policy, communications, events and strategic functions of the 1,000+ member company organization. Prior to MassBio, Sarah held a variety of association and policy positions. She is a graduate of Hartwick College and has a Master’s degree from Northeastern University.

Outside of work, Sarah is active in her community and enjoys time with her husband, Sean and son, Griffin.
