On the Heels of the Annual J. P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, the Gilead Foundation announces a dollar-to-dollar match for all donations into Life Science Cares
All individual and corporate donations will be matched up to a maximum of $250,000
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Jan 02, 2024 — Life Science Cares (LSC), a collective and organic effort of the Life Science industry to partner with nonprofits to disrupt the cycle of poverty and inequality, is the recipient of a generous corporate match from the Gilead Foundation announced in December on the heels of the 2024 J.P. Morgan Healthcare conference. The Gilead Foundation will match all individual and corporate donations received into any Life Science Cares affiliates up to a maximum of $250,000.
The Gilead Foundation has been a corporate partner of Life Science Cares’ Bay Area affiliate for the last two years. The partnership came together to help launch an innovative program that reaches farmworkers on the Coastside. The Gilead Foundation has already donated a total of $1 million dollars in corporate partnership contributions to Life Science Cares Bay Area.
In parallel to the 2024 J.P.Morgan Healthcare conference, the Gilead foundation is now extending their philanthropy to all 5 affiliates of Life Science Cares through this generous match of individual and corporate contributions received into any Life Science Cares affiliates (Boston, Philadelphia, San Diego, Bay Area or New York) or into Project Onramp, a national program of Life Science Cares aimed at providing internship opportunities into Life Science companies, to under-represented and under-resourced students. “The Gilead Foundation is proud to partner with Life Science Cares as the signature corporate match sponsor at the 2024 J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference,” said Gilead Foundation President Kate Wilson.

Life Science Cares provides corporations, big and small, an opportunity to engage in the community and to do so collectively. Despite turbulent and challenging economic times, Life Science companies have continued to support the effort of Life Science Cares in the community, through corporate donations, employee engagement, in kind donations and even opportunities for under-represented and under-resourced interns.
