Report provides a comprehensive overview of the initiatives, achievements, and outcomes of Life Science Cares San Diego’s initiatives throughout 2023

San Diego, March 18, 2024  – Life Science Cares San Diego, a nonprofit organization activating the financial and human capital of the life sciences industry and partnering with local nonprofits to disrupt the cycle of poverty and inequity throughout its communities, today released its 2023 Impact Report outlining the organization’s extensive community engagement initiatives of the year. 

Life Science Cares San Diego aims to increase local community members’ access to basic needs, education, and opportunity by harnessing resources provided by members of the local life science community. Through a combination of strategic initiatives, partnerships, and volunteer engagements, the organization awarded over $1.2M in grants to local nonprofits, aided nearly 3,000 students with educational access, provided over 180,000 meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, facilitated connections for over 3,000 under-resourced youth with professional opportunities in the life science industry and aided over 100 individuals with rental and housing support.
