And Life Science Cares Will Host a Panel & Private Reception During the Conference

Life Science Cares looks forward to connecting with friends, partners, and colleagues at the upcoming JP Morgan Healthcare Conference, often referred to simply as ‘JPM’, an annual event that is considered one of the largest and most influential gatherings in the healthcare and life sciences industry.

Gilead Foundation Will Double Your Donation

We’re thrilled to share, as an incentive to conference attendees to support our mission, the Gilead Foundation will match donations made to Life Science Cares during JPM up to a total of $250,000! This includes individual donations and/or tax-deductible company contributions towards Corporate Partnership to any of Life Science Cares’ five chapters or to our national internship program, Project Onramp.

Thank you for believing in our model of collective impact, Gilead Foundation!

Join Our Network for Good

Jeff Hessekiel, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Exelixis and Board Co-Chair of Life Science Cares Bay Area, is an industry leader who recognizes the power of our model of ‘collective impact.’

Hessekiel offers, “The business of life sciences is super challenging, demanding that life science professionals be smart, talented, and hard-working. In my experience, they are also kind, compassionate, and generous. Life Science Cares takes great advantage of those positive attributes, unlocking the potential for life science companies and people to be a powerful force for good in their communities. That’s why I jumped at the chance to help build a Life Science Cares affiliate in the Bay Area.

“The societal problems we confront are immense, however, in the life science industry we’re used to tackling big problems. It is a privilege to work with the staff, corporate and individual supporters, and partners of Life Science Cares Bay Area to find new and innovative ways to deliver assistance to neighbors who need and deserve a helping hand.”

We look forward to welcoming you to our powerful network of life science companies working together to do so much good. Together, we can make a difference.

About Life Science Cares:

Life Science Cares is a collective effort to activate the financial and human capital of the region’s life sciences industry – and partner with  nonprofits – to disrupt the cycle of poverty and inequality in our communities.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Life Science Cares provides a platform for companies and their employees to make a difference through impactful grants to community nonprofits that are implementing research-driven solutions in the areas of education, economic sustainability, and basic needs. We supercharge these grants with volunteer hours, donated goods, strategic support, and advocacy.

The organization operates in five locations that boast a critical mass of companies working in biotech, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and research: Boston, Philadelphia, San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area, and New York. Across all five chapters, Life Science Cares has invested $12,627,751 into our communities since 2016.
