Life Science Cares Bay Area is Expanding to support its next phase of growth

This year, Life Science Cares Bay Area turns 5!

Since 2021, we have:

  • Invested nearly $5M in 20+ nonprofit partners
  • Engaged 8,000+ industry volunteers
  • Placed 120 under-resourced students in paid internships

We are building a movement across the life sciences sector to drive lasting, measurable community impact.

In order to support our next phase of growth and deliver on our strategic plan, we are expanding our team and hiring our first Director of Strategy and Corporate Engagement, as well as our first Development Operations and Marketing Manager. We are also backfilling the Project Manager role.

Candidates interested in any of the three positions may send a resume & cover letter to [email protected]. In the subject line they should indicate which position they are interested in. All three positions will also be posted on Linkedin.

Life Science Cares Bay Area Project Onramp Manager

About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Corporate Engagement, the Project Onramp Manager will help improve patient access and representation by breaking down barriers to entry in the Life Science industry for undergraduate talent from all walks of life.

Project Onramp, a signature program of Life Science Cares, creates access to paid summer internships for college students who are under-resourced and under-served  — helping to bridge the opportunity gap for these promising young people.  The Project Onramp manager will help drive growth while maintaining the highest quality experience for students. This position offers the opportunity to innovate to better serve students and companies.

The ideal candidate will enjoy “selling” this program to stakeholders, as well as operationalizing a program that has many moving parts and requires a high degree of attention to detail. Creating branded materials as the program grows is important as well, so an interest in writing and marketing is helpful.
