Life Science Cares Philadelphia (LSC) is proud to announce Jenn Parrado will join the organization as its next Executive Director, beginning March 17, 2025. With nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and community engagement, Jenn’s expertise and passion for social impact will propel LSC’s mission to harness the power of the life sciences industry to disrupt cycles of poverty.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jenn to Life Science Cares Philadelphia,” said Vin Milano, Board Chair of LSC Philadelphia. “Her deep-rooted commitment to use science and community as vehicles for change, coupled with her proven ability to build impactful partnerships, makes her the ideal leader to bring LSC into its next chapter.”
Milano continued, “Adding Jenn to our outstanding existing team of Cait Butrica, Grecia Ojeda and Kaitlyn Whalen will accelerate our ability to make a difference in Philadelphia.”
Jenn most recently served as the Executive Director of Simon’s Heart, where she expanded the organization’s reach to a national level, forging key partnerships with the NFL, MLS, NWSL, Boys & Girls Club of America, and Zoll. Her leadership also strengthened advocacy efforts, engaging with Governor Josh Shapiro and federal policymakers to advance legislative initiatives supporting cardiac health awareness.
Prior to Simon’s Heart, Jenn was the Regional Advancement Director for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where she played a pivotal role in securing millions of dollars for cancer research. She also held leadership positions at Cradles to Crayons, where she spearheaded major fundraising and volunteer engagement programs.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Political Science, Jenn has been an active member of Life Sciences Pennsylvania for over a decade.
“I am excited to join LSC at this critical point and cannot wait to get started,” said Jenn Parrado. “I also offer deep gratitude to Morgan Berman, my predecessor, for her leadership and dedication. I look forward to working with the staff, the Board of Managers and the Board of Advisors to achieve LSC’s mission of leveraging the life sciences industry to create meaningful change.”
