Childhood hunger contributes to a generational cycle of poverty
Nearly 50% of students in San Diego County rely on free or reduced-price meals provided in schools. During the summer these meals are unavailable.
The Life Science Community is Uniting Together to Help. During the month of June 2024 companies across the life science industry are holding food drives in their offices. On June 14th, the industry will come together to bring all food donations to Feeding San Diego and volunteer to sort and pack food to be given directly to food-insecure families!

During the 2024 food drive LSC asks life science companies to hold food drives in their offices from June 1 – June 14th. On June 14th, we invite employees from all participating companies to come on site to Feeding San Diego to drop off food donations, learn more about food insecurity, and volunteer to sort and pack food donations! (Please note that to volunteer advanced registration* is required, as space is limited)
