Life Science Cares Boston is thrilled to welcome Jake Sugerman as our Workforce Programs Manager. In this new role, Jake will champion, promote, and support our workforce initiatives to reduce education and career barriers facing students. He will support three existing programs—Project Onramp, One-to-One and the Compass Collaborative—and future initiatives in workforce development and career exploration.

A former teacher and journalist, Jake has more than five years of experience in the workforce development field helping to build and enhance work readiness and coaching programs for diverse job seekers. Jake is also a certified Career Coach, has dual master’s degrees in Education and Journalism, and maintains credentials in Trauma Informed Care and Supervision.

Jake is a native of the Boston area and lives on the North Shore with his family and two cats, Salem and Gatsby. In addition to being an avid runner and fitness enthusiast, Jake loves to travel, eat pastry, shop, and read bestsellers on the beach.
