CASPAR Kitchen Clean Up
January 22nd, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
How you can help: Join us as we help CASPAR’s emergency shelter by giving their kitchen a face lift! We will be moving all of the kitchen equipment out, giving it a deep clean, and organizing the pantry.
About CASPAR: CASPAR has built a comprehensive array of outreach, shelter, stabilization, and residential programs in Cambridge and Somerville. They focus on programs that are safe, accessible, and supportive and that meet the needs of a diverse population of high-risk men and women, most of whom are uninsured and indigent.
Location: 240 Albany St, Cambridge
We need: 8 volunteers ready to get their hands dirty!

Year Up Closet Clear Out
January 24th, 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
How you can help: Out with the old and in with the new! Help us get Year Up students ready for graduation by sorting through the professional clothing closet and organizing new donations.
About Year Up: Year Up Greater Boston delivers a rigorous 12-month employment-training program, which combines hands-on technical and professional skill development, stipends, professional internships, and wraparound services. Within four months of graduation, at least 85% of our students are employed earning an average wage of $16.50/hour and/or enrolled in postsecondary education.

Pine Street Inn Breakfast Shift
February 5th, 6:00 to 7:30 am
How you can help: Serve breakfast to the residents of Pine Street Inn’s Emergency Shelter.
About Pine Street Inn: Pine Street Inn is a nonprofit organization that supports homeless men and women in moving from the streets and shelter to a home and assists individuals in retaining housing. Pine Street provides street outreach, emergency services, supportive housing, job training and connections to employment. Our goal is to help individuals gain stability and their highest level of independence as they move back to a home.
Somerville Backpack Program
March 8th, 8:30 to 10:00 am
How you can help: Make sandwiches, pack bags of food for Somerville students for the weekend.
About The Backpack Program: Food For Free’s Weekend Backpack Program improves access to healthy food for students in the City of Cambridge and now Somerville. Students receive two lunches, two breakfasts, milk, and fresh fruit. The food is discreetly packed in the students’ backpacks each Friday afternoon ensuring that students are better prepared to learn the following week.
Location: Connexion Church in East Somerville
